Our Story

Hi! I’m Jacquie, the founder of Sonyo Food Co. Sonyo means granddaughter in Korean. To me, it's the continuation of tradition through a new generation. My grandmother taught me how to make kimchi and her grandmother before her. 

We've developed plant-based and gluten-free recipes to ensure everyone can take part in the full depth of the Korean culinary experience, starting with the staple – kimchi!
