Learn how to make gluten-free, vegan kimchi! Join us in a hands-on workshop making kimchi from scratch and take away tips to help you make it at home like a pro. Materials and ingredients will be provided so all you need to bring is yourself 😊
This event will be a collaboration with choa magazine. Engage with us in the second part of the workshop where we’ll be opening the floor for a guided discussion about the experiences and relationships we share with history and food. Refreshments will be provided at this time.
We strongly encourage members of the Korean diaspora to join us for this event and conversation.
Meet members from the community and take home a 1L jar of vegan kimchi to enjoy 🌶️
Limited spots available.
In an effort to make the event more accessible for those experiencing financial constraints, there is a reserved number of subsidized tickets available. Please email us to purchase or donate: email@example.com
choa is an independent online platform for the Korean female diaspora to share our experiences of sociocultural, political, and economic issues. We have an annual magazine, podcast, and other projects to bring together diverse voices of the community. For more information, visit choamagazine.com, or follow on Instagram @choamagazine
Remaining kimchi will be donated to Second Harvest. Please consider donating to your local food bank/community fridge to help members of our community in need and to reduce food waste.
Note: At checkout it will ask to select delivery or pick up. Either option works to proceed. There is no product being delivered or picked up. It is an in-person workshop at the Canoe Landing Community Recreation Centre.
